Sideloading the Add-in

To test the add-in before it's available in the Office Store:

  1. Download the manifest.xml file using the button above.
  2. Move the file to a shared folder on your computer.
  3. In PowerPoint, go to Insert > My Add-ins > Manage My Add-ins.
  4. Select Upload My Add-in and choose the downloaded file.
  5. The Pattern Maker tab will appear in your ribbon!

How It Works

  1. Go to the Pattern Maker tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
  2. Click Create Pattern button to open the side panel.
  3. Select a shape on your slide. The task pane will show the shape name and turn green.
  4. Choose your Pattern Type (Circle, Grid, Oval, etc.) and adjust settings.
  5. Click Generate Pattern to instantly create your design!
💡 Pro Tip: Start with a simple shape like a Circle, generate a pattern, then select all shapes and use Shape Format > Edit Shape > Change Shape in PowerPoint to transform them into complex geometries!
