Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why doesn't the add-in load?
A: Make sure you have an active internet connection the first time you load it. If
sideloading, ensure the manifest.xml file is pointing to the correct URL (GitHub Pages or localhost). Try
clearing your browser cache.
Q: Can I use this on Mac?
A: Yes! Pattern Maker is a modern Office Add-in that works on PowerPoint for Mac, Windows,
and PowerPoint Online (Web).
Q: Nothing happens when I click "Generate Pattern".
A: Please ensure you have selected a shape on your slide *before* clicking generate. If no
shape is selected, the add-in cannot create a pattern. Check the status message at the bottom of the task
pane for specific errors.
Q: Is my data safe?
A: Absolutely. Pattern Maker runs locally within PowerPoint. We do not collect, store, or
transmit any of your presentation data. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
